Join LNJ for a NEW networking and educational event created by LNJ '24 graduate Lindsay McNamara from her graduation statement: "I lead New Jersey when I prioritize my mental health and the wellbeing of others by introducing the LNJ alumni network to "slow birding" through a mindful, guided walk during spring migration."
Lead New Jersey Spring Bird Walk
Grab your favorite LNJ buddy and join us for a bird walk on Sandy Hook on Saturday, March 29 from 2 pm - 4 pm. We will look out for early spring migratory birds, wading birds, songbirds, seals, and anyone else who is in the park.
We will meet at Gateway National Recreation Area, Sandy Hook unit in Guardian Park (with the grilling areas, covered benches and public restrooms) and then head out on the paved multi-use pathway. We will walk for about two miles. Please dress for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, bring water and binoculars if you have them. We have five pairs of 8x25 birding binoculars for you to borrow as needed. Let’s get birdy!

Cost: FreeSpace is limited to 25 to create a small group experience.
